COVID-19 Update from BirdTheRock Bird & Nature Tours

These are strange and unsettling times. During these dynamic times of COVID-19, travel restrictions and public health measures there is plenty of uncertainty – and we understand that many of you are concerned about your travel plans. While we very much look forward to sharing Newfoundland & Labrador’s amazing birds, wildlife and scenery with you, rest assured that your health and safety is our absolute priority.

We are hopeful that life will return to “normal” sooner than later, and trust that you will visit us as soon as you are able. But we also realize that many travel plans will (and must) be put on hold over the next few months. Here are a few updates on our tours, and your plans with us, that I hope are both reassuring and helpful.

Tour Cancellations

We are monitoring the situation carefully and diligently, and in hopes that things will improve sooner than later we are NOT cancelling any tours at the moment. If and when it becomes safe to travel again, we will be available as planned and excited to share our beautiful province with you. While we are not confirming any new bookings at the moment, we are always happy to chat about your ideas, help you plan a trip, and/or pencil you in for future tours.

Deposits, Refunds and Rescheduling

For our valued clients who have already booked tours, we want to reassure you that your deposit is safe with us – and we look forward to welcoming you soon. However, we also want to provide you with options that allow you to make the best decisions for your own health, safety and situation – even if that means having to cancel or (hopefully) reschedule your visit to Newfoundland & Labrador. As such, we will be offering 100% refunds indefinitely – even beyond your scheduled tour date if required. If and when you find it necessary to cancel or postpone your plans, we encourage you to reschedule and will be happy to apply your existing deposit at a rate of 125% towards a future booking. In addition, we would like to extend current 2020 prices to any rebooking in 2021 (even if tour prices change in the meantime). **We do not want to rush your decisions, so are happy to hang on to your deposit until you have time to make those plans. As outlined above, such deposits will remain available for 100% refund at any time in the future should you ultimately decide not to reschedule your tour(s) with us.**

We also look forward to chatting with each of you in the near future – whether to confirm an existing booking when things improve, reschedule for a better time, or plan a whole new adventure!
