Status: Very Rare (< 5 records)

Origins: A wide-ranging Old World species, it breeds across temperate Europe (including Iceland) and Asia and northern Africa. 

Record Details: Currently the ONLY record for North America, one was picked up recently dead at Bonavista on November 16, 1994!!
