Numenius borealis

Status: Very Rare (< 5 records)

Origins: Widespread across temperate Europe and Asia. It is migratory over much of its range, wintering in Africa, southern Europe and Asia.

Record Details: One record for Newfoundland – an individual at Ferryland on Jan 7-8, 1991. This represents one of very few North American records.
