Lymnocryptes minimus

Status: Very Rare (< 5 records)

Origins: Breeds in northern Europe and Russia, spending the winter from Britain south to the Mediterranean, Africa and India.

Record Details: One record for Newfoundland – an individual photographed in Ferryland on February 14, 2011 but not identified until several days later. The only other Canadian or east coast record was from a specimen shot in St. Lewis, Labrador in December 1927.
