Egretta gularis
Status: Very Rare (< 5 records)
Origins: Occurs mainly on the coasts in tropical west Africa, the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf and east to India. It is a rare vagrant to Europe, and there are very few records for North America.
Record Details: One record for Newfoundland – an adult at Stephenville Crossing from ~June 17 – September 4, 2005. presumably the same individual was reported from Cape Breton and New England in the following two years.
