Eudocimus albus
Status: Very Rare (< 5 records)
Origins: Occurs in the mid-Atlantic and Gulf coast areas of the United States, south through the tropics and is generally numerous within its normal range.
Record Details: Two records for Newfoundland – each of numerous birds representing influxes. Ten or more individuals in small groups were reported from Cape Broyle and surrounding areas from April 2-6, 1967, while 10-15 were reported from Ramea on May 14, 1971 (apparently coinciding with an influx of herons in other parts of the province).
