Status: Very Rare (< 5 records)
Origins: Occurs only in western North America, mostly non-migratory in the United States but breeding into southern Canada.It is a very rare vagrant to the east coast.
Record Details: One record for Newfoundland of this very unexpected vagrant. It was present at Cow Head from August 14 – September 11, 1986. Another was seen (and subsequently photographed) in a backyard in English Point (Forteau), Labrador on July 6th, 2013 – apparently it frequented the area for about two weeks before disappearing.
